you are a bowl and falling

falling and thinking 

thinking of the hand that gave you form

and left you imperfect 

imperfect and beautiful– 

but not to you

Following on from In The Broken Places this is an ongoing exploration of light on ceramics of various types. The intention is to break and joint with gold, but in a new form, one that reimagines usefulness when no longer functional and finds beauty in the imperfect.  

Arranged on my tabletop stage, they are reborn to sculpt light then captured in-camera with only refinements to hue and tone.
